Meet Our Proprietor
Founder and Proprietor, Firm Base Schools — building a firm foundation on Fola Agoro Street since 2001.
Mr. Gbenga Kalejaiye founded Firm Base Schools in 2001 on Fola Agoro Street, in the Somolu area of Lagos. What began as one school under his direct leadership has, over more than two decades, become a fixture of the local community — a place parents across Somolu have trusted with their children's earliest and most formative years of education.
At the heart of his leadership is a conviction he has repeated at graduation after graduation: that qualitative education must go hand in hand with strong character. Speaking at the school's 24th Graduation and Prize Giving Day in July 2025, he reaffirmed that focus directly:
Our goal remains the same — to provide qualitative education that not only prepares our students for academic success but also molds them into morally upright and responsible citizens.
He has also spoken plainly about the standard he holds the school to — not just local success, but a preparation that travels with every graduate:
"We are dedicated to equipping our students with the necessary tools to compete favourably with their peers anywhere in the world."
Under his leadership, Firm Base Schools has carried twenty-four graduating classes through Creche, Nursery and Primary, each session closing with the same recognition of academic excellence, good conduct, improvement and leadership that has become the school's tradition.
Visit Fola Agoro Street, tour the classrooms, and speak with our office about admission.
